I posted my first entry less than five days ago and I am already receiving spam as post comments. I hate SPAM! Do I have to manage the spam manually or can I find a plugin for WordPress? (I am new to WordPress and blogging)
The Automattic Kismet (Akismet) plugin is included in the WordPress distribution, so I activated it. The plugin requires an API Key, so one has to create an account to get the necessary key.
The API Key is included in the WordPress.com registration confirmation email that is sent to you. The API Key is also available on your account profile page. Activate the plugin and let it manage the blog SPAM!
